Kathleen Haugen |
Since 1987, Ms. Haugen has been actively engaged in the bulk liquids shipping industry. Previously employed
by International Tanker Chartering, Inc., for eight years, Kathy negotiated fixtures, generated laytime calculations,
and performed demurrage analysis on behalf of numerous chemical producers and traders. Ms. Haugen gained a
favorable reputation amongst these Charterers for serving their requirements in an effective, timely manner with
significant cost-saving results.
Kathy established Haugen Consulting LLC in 1995. Over the years, in addition to achieving significant demurrage
savings, Haugen Consulting's business has evolved to include additional value-added services such as third party
demurrage rebilling and maximizing collection; contract review; and, vessel time charter performance tracking.
Since 1995, together with Kathy's team of experts, Haugen Consulting continues to achieve positive bottom-line
results. The long-term business relationships enjoyed with our clients is self-evident of Haugen's high performance

With a U.S. Naval and Engineering background combined with over thirty years of extensive
experience in Logistics and Management within the Shell Oil and Chemical groups, Tony joins
Haugen Consulting as a marketing representative while also working as an independent consultant
with De Santis & Associates Inc. Some of Tony's noteworthy accomplishments within the
Shell organization includes Distribution Process Manager (Deer Park Chemical Plant), Transportation
Support Manager for Oil, Logistics Manager for Shell Chemical, Manager Contract Terminals (Oil
Group), Vice President Logistics (Pecten) and finally, Global Shell Chemical Marine Coordinator
where he oversaw the implementation of global contracts saving $59m over a period of three
years. Additionally, Tony was a Board member for the United States Shipping Association (USSA)
where he was instrumental in the bidding of global contracts for 30,000 TEU's which resulted in
saving 20-40% in rates. |

Brendan Hoffman |

With a background in economics, finance, software and shipping, Brendan Hoffman
is a senior demurrage and business analyst at Haugen Consulting LLC.
Fully versed in all aspects of tanker operations and demurrage Brendan
works on behalf of Shipowners, Charterers, Suppliers and Receivers through his clear
understanding of charter parties, sales contracts and the intricacies of the maritime
industry. Be it within the confines of Haugen Consulting or staffed within the offices of a
client, Brendan's analytical skills and thorough knowledge of barges, crude, product and
chemical tankers allows him to successfully maximize collection of issued demurrage claims
while reducing received demurrage liability. Likewise, Brendan provides Haugen Consulting's
clients another resource through his experience representing Time-Chartered Owners in
performance warranty disputes while also having experience claiming for damages resulting
from dock outages under dock sharing agreements. |

Combining an educational background in criminal science and practical cost control knowledge
from working in industrial construction management, Mr. Holland has successfully applied his skills to voyage
analysis and demurrage investigations since 1998. Also serving as Haugen Consulting's IT Manager, Jamey is
instrumental in the ongoing development and maintenance of our computer systems network, website and online
database. |
